Photography is my passion. While attending college, I took courses in cinematography and editing. However, my still photography is self taught. I have always been fascinated by the natural world. As a kid growing up in New York City, I maintained a small bird feeder. As I got older, I would explore the marshes of Jamaica Bay on my urban safaris.

Even as I worked part time as a free lance news photographer, my love was, and still is nature photography.  My images appear in newspapers, magazines, professional trade publications, advertising, national and international environmental web sites and blogs. My photos also appear in travel brochures, the State of Maine Inland Fish and Game Magazine, corporate offices, as well as the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology's and Audubon's Rowe Sanctuary calendars and web sites.  More recently, my images appeared in the critically acclaimed documentary, "David and Me" as well as Science (web version) and 26 publications world wide.

I don't see wildlife as individual separate entities, but rather as an integral part of a whole. I try to reflect this in these images by capturing my subjects living and interacting with their natural world.
